Eye Health Check
There are a great many eye conditions that do not necessarily cause problems with your vision. Minor infections such as conjunctivitis can cause discomfort, redness and itchiness. More serious conditions such as glaucoma can cause loss of peripheral vision, which is something many people may not necessarily notice. Regular eye examinations are vital to ensure that such conditions do not go unnoticed and untreated so, if you have any concerns, please phone or call in to the Practice and we will be happy to help, either by giving advice or by booking you in for further examination.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY!
If you experience pain or severe discomfort in your eyes, or if you become aware of any sudden changes such as double vision, excessive blurring or loss of vision, the best thing to do is to go to the casualty department of your nearest hospital. Although we would always endeavour to see an emergency, in most cases we would then refer you to the hospital so it would save you time by going straight there. Should any of these symptoms occur “out of hours”, then don`t wait until the morning, go straight to the hospital and have the symptoms checked.
